Thank You for helping Us support the Community

Kayaks Australia would like to thank everyone who purchased a new canoe, kayak, sea kayak or sit-on-top from us between July and December 2008, as it allowed us to sponsor the Dare:Ops Anti-Bullying Program.

In a world where things are generally "fixed" after the event, the guys at Dare:Ops are taking a positive and pro-active approach, by interacting with children via seminars, camps and challenges.

  • Dare:Ops is a youth motivation organisation that targets the youth of today, be they marginalised and youth at risk, or kids who are looking for inspiration to achieve more.
  • Dare:Ops tackles the big issues such as:
      • Addictions
      • Co-dependency
      • Low self-esteem
      • Anger
      • Abuse
      • Insecurity
      • Violence
      • Peer pressure
      • Identity
      • Teen suicide
      • Teen obesity
      • Poverty
      • Race
      • Religion

  • Their mission is to encourage Australia’s youth to become all they can be, through positive role models and real life interaction and support.
  • Where some youth organisations talk about what they will do, Dare:Ops is out there doing it!
Dare:Ops runs intense adventure camps to destinations such as:
    • The legendary Kokoda Track in New Guinea
    • Outback treks through the Kimberley
    • Trips to Kakadu
    • Trips to the Polynesian paradise of Western Samoa
These series of camps are designed to challenge our young people to dream of the possibilities in life, and then live them.

The sponsorship provided by Kayaks Australia will allow 200 young adults at 5 schools (a total of 1,000 people) to be able to attend the Dare:Ops Anti-Bullying program for free.

By allocating a percentage of our profits, Kayaks Australia hopes to help Dare:Ops reach even more kids and show them that they really can achieve anything that they set their mind to.
